Hi. I'm Andrea, a registered celebrant and available to conduct weddings (first, second, third or...) , elopements, vow renewals, and baby naming ceremonies. But first, you probably want to know a little about the person who may be marrying you and see if they are the right 'fit' for you as a couple. I get it. I did the same. I contacted three different celebrants and was quite selective about what I wanted - and what I didn't want.

 

After many years of thinking about becoming a celebrant, 2018 was the year for me to take the leap! And I love the journey I have been on so far. I've met wonderful people and learned so much. I became a member of Celebrants Aotearoa (Celebrants' Association of NZ, CANZ) in April 2018 was registered as an independent marriage and civil union celebrant in July 2018.

I like to do things properly and learn as much about a new field as possible, so I have studied with The Celebrants' Training College Aotearoa and awarded a Diploma of Celebrancy. I am now a Validated Member of Celebrants Aotearoa - which means I demonstrate my commitment to providing a professional service as a celebrant and undertaking on-going professional development. This also enables me to conduct registry-style weddings for those who just want the legal elements of a marriage.

I officiated the marriage of my first couple in December 2018 and since then I have had the honour of joining many more couples in marriage and I love every moment - from the very first meeting with a couple, right through to the pronouncement of ‘Husband and Wife’, or ‘Husband and Husband’, or ‘Wife and Wife’!

I love working with couples to create a ceremony that is a true expression of your love. That means getting to know you both - spending time talking, laughing, planning and importantly - listening. I listen to you and create a ceremony that is as unique and as special as you are.

I’m a storyteller at heart and my love is for written and spoken words. So your ceremony will be personal, elegant, and passionate. After all, it is a celebration of love! I’m easy to work with and have great ideas to help you design a day that will be perfect. I'm a writer, a presenter/public speaker, a planner, and a people person. I'm also calm, confident, adaptable and like a good laugh - qualities that all contribute to my offering as a celebrant. I am super organised and support you with grace and confidence.
